The Khon Kaen SCC team has been getting a lot of media coverage of our work, starting with national Thailand news articles prior to our arrival –
The article highlights IBM’s commitment to community service, with a focus on our Smarter Cities Challenge as being a three-year, 100-city US$50-million (Bt1.55-million) program, with Khon Kaen being one of the cities to receive the grant this year.
Since arriving in Khon Kaen, our meetings with the Governor of Khon Kaen province, the Mayor of Khon Kaen city, and the Vice President of the Khon Kaen University have been covered by the local media, including some video of our meeting with the Governor.
After our final presentations to the Mayor, the Governor, and the University later this week, we will have a final press conference, with the Governor, on Thursday. We expect it will be a great way to highlight the plans and recommendations that we’ve helped Khon Kaen develop for applying Smarter Traffic and Smarter Analytics to their city and their university.
